This is such a wonderful piece of work. It feels like the drawing and the peom are so beautifully linked, they would be lost without one another. Wonderful :-)

Such a compliment, and from someone as talented as yourself. Thank you, pixie. :D

I'm over looking at your art, and the non-objective paintings you do with wax are captivating. I've never heard of the process -- what is it? In any case, the sense of texture is marvelous, and I really like your eye for color.

Thanks so much. :-)
It's called Encaustic Wax Painting, and it's thoroughly addictive! If you look on the internet you can buy the equipment you need. Using an iron you melt wax onto a glossy card surface (which doesn't absorb the wax). It's very therapeutic and good fun. I've converted atleast 30 people to wax painting now!!! I'm in love with colour so I think that why I found this medium so appealing. :XD:

I'm going to have to look into that, thank you. I'll bet maybe it might adhere to canvas, too, for a larger painting?

Another color addict, here. It's an addictive passion, eh?

I hope you don't get this twice. DA has been very slow for me today and I got a message in first sending this that it didn't go through. However, I've been receiving duplicates of others' Private Messages, and so I wonder if they didn't also get the message, re-send, and then have it double up when it reaches the inbox. Anyway, sorry if that's the case.

No it didn't come through twice, but don't worry I've been having that a lot lately too, having to resend and ending up sending duplicates. It's the only glitch on DA that bugs me. Can't have everything I suppose ;)

I have to agree on the comment of pixie queen! The poem and the illustration seemed really stitched to each other literally speaking, made for each other. Beautiful piece! I know you are capable of illustrating/drawing/sketching...I never thought you have this poetic side of you Tina! :)
:iconfractalgrrl:
Thank you, Dennis. Your words make me smile. :)
